JUST ABOUT ME

Well, well, well,

I guess you all will be happy to know me, I mean the real me out here, so I've decided to put up this post today to create a way for you to know me better and get to understand why I've chosen to be a writer and help you out in your quest to become a success in life, business, relationship and creative works.

Years ago while growing up I can actually remember telling my family, "hey I'm going to be a writer, though then it might sound like a joke but in reality I was into it, I mean writing from the word go but little did I know that I'll come back and be that which I've always told myself severally until now.

Well, So many things have happened since then, when I said those words to my family, and the most baffling things have happened as well.

I had to go through a lot of things to get to where I am today and some of those things are not what i really in actual facts bargain for.

Was it the time when I tried my first singing, or acting that turned me into being called different names or my first poetry rendition, or the time when I tried writing and was beating blue and black for trying out love notes; which one can I talk about here? O yea, I get it, the trouble I went through when I was stopped from schooling in primary 6 and I said I want to go back, which fell on deaf ears.

It wasn't easy then I can tell you, when everyone will drive you here and there, telling you to learn a trade. I can say I did gain a lot in them days as I learned to be a fashion designer, Aluminum fabricator, go through painting and glazing school, did diploma in electrical electronics and finally at the end I had to send myself back to the school I had always wanted to go and read mass communication.

Now the deed has been done and I still have a lot going for me out here but the issue is in all these things, I've learned that the ball has always been in my court all along, all I needed was to take my life in my hand and do what I must to get to where I am going.

Now with my book published and in the market, plus 38 books written and registered (still counting) with my personal company done; I can say, the sky is not just the limit but above the heavens!

Here I know so many things we all do go through in life, among friends, families and foes but the truth is we all have what we need to stand and be all we ever can/could dream of becoming.

My routing in life now is that I write daily poems and put up motivational messages of facts I know well enough while growing up and the true motivational understanding I’ve gotten from books, trainings and readings  that have helped me in getting my life on board to the best it can possibly be.

I have made up my mind and my own mandate to help others out with the things I’ve gone through hoping they can learn from my mistakes and success and the tales surrounding my thoughtful daily, weekly living.

Till next time,

Feel free to get to me on any information you think or feel want to know and you can’t find out here about me. (treasured1creativeideas@yahooo.com or treasured100@yahoo.com )

Thanks for coming along to knowing me.

SOMETHING ABOUT MY BOOK 2

Just wanted to let you read a little of my books coming soon. I guess you must have enjoyed the previous one posted last week.

Now you are having the privilege of reading the next ones before they are out in the open.

This books are already registered with their ISBN and copyrighted intact. It's for your perusal here.

1. Friendship and Courtship: ISBN:
You & Your Friends
It has often been said that, “the people you know matters in life”, and the same applies to any relationship in life, especially that dealing with the matters of the heart.

Anyone who must have friends must be friendly as only birds of a feather flock together. Life is all about relationship and relationship only comes through friendship or it’s nurtured by it.

We all do need friends in life, friends who will be there in times of need, comfort etc. as we go on in life our friendship level changes, some friends will be there to hold unto while others we will have to let go of; but the truth of the matter is, to have a good relationship, it must all begin from friendship.

A friend is one who tells you the truth no matter what; a person who knows your faults but loves you anyway, helping you to curb it or finding ways to help you become what you really ought to be by focusing on your strong points, not one who tries to manipulate you for what you have or you can offer.

Friendship
Friendship is sharing warmth and intimate relationship with someone you like and trust. It forms an integral part of a young person’s life because it helps him transform from childhood to adulthood. It provides the chance for acquiring experiences, building self-identity, conflict management skills and interpersonal communication; it’s a very vital ingredient during adolescence and throughout life. Friendship does not involve sex. You must know how to choose and find strong and good friends to be with.

You must work hand-in-hand to build a successful relationship. Never take a friend for granted. To have a friend, you must be a friend yourself and making friends is very easy if you can follow the following rules:

FINDING A FRIEND/LOVE
It is very easy to find a friend or someone to love though the skills are not taught in schools or in life affairs but understanding will birth the way if one truly seeks and really need a friend or is searching for love.

There are so many places to look to:
Meetings: There are so many gathering here and there where you can find someone to be a good friend to though you need to get to know the person well before you can move on to any other direction of your choice.
Churches: You have so many meetings and membership areas for your interest and getting to know one another in a church setting.
Internet: So many online networks on the World Wide Web for you to join and make friends, a wonderful place to get known and make contacts though you need to meet the person face-to-face to find out more, get to know better before you can say here is friendship in reality.
Clubs/Parties, etc.: You have so many clubs, so many entertainment sections for you out there. Just know what you want and go for it.

All you have to do is follow all the guidelines left for you in this book and you’ll see that all things comes easy to those who are really seeking in truth and taking the right steps.

Take the initiative
Never wait for others to come to you, go all out to get the friends you need; get to know people that matters to your becoming what you want to be in life and never neglect anyone out of your way. Take the first step in making friends and you will never regret it for life. Everyone needs a friend and getting one is just a neighbor near you, just talk to the person with a friendly disposition to all those that you might meet on your way up and see how things work out for you.

Be likable
You should be the kind of person who ventures into understanding others and not just yourself. Love and like others even though it may not be your culture; it will help you in the end because we all need someone when we are down and those you meet today may be the ones for your tomorrow’s growth or betterment.

Get names right and give yours
It is very important that you get peoples names right the first time you meet them and if you know that you can’t remember their names, ask again, it won’t hurt you or them if you do. Nobody likes his name being called wrongly or spell badly. It will do you much good if you can even write down the name for keeps in case you might forget it.

Exchange cards, telephone Number
For a fact, it has been observed that the person you keep his or her information and get to know better becomes your best friend in the end of time. He might often become a person that you will need in that dream and goals of yours. If he can’t help you he can introduce you to someone who can and make, pave ways for you to fulfill your dreams and goals on earth. So keep tabs for friendship for future purposes!

Don’t expect perfection
On earth nobody is perfect and until we accept our imperfections can we see to others own. If we all expect perfection then no one will be able to work with each other, our imperfections makes us different from one another and shows that we are still humans trying to attain to what we all want to be. No one is ever going to be perfect but love and understand will create whatever is missing in anyone and bring us close to walk together without strife.

2. Poetry For You: Teaching you how to write poetry: ISBN: 978-978-088-341-6
 Coming soon

REAL POETRY
In this Chapter you will find:
A.        What is Poetry?

B.        What Poetry is all about?

C.        Requirements for writing Poetry.

A. What is Poetry?
Has it is said; Poetry is an art (a way of writing). It is the art of writing in prose and stanzas with words on lines, having its own ways of arranging words, line by line. It uses languages to convey a lot of meaning in its own context.

Poetry is the work of poets and writers (those involve in writing prose, plays, song lyrics and movie scripts), which is often referred to as literature in the art world.

B. What Poetry is all about?
Poetry is all about you, your imagination, culture, environment and everything seen, heard, understand, understood and known around or across the world.

It is an aspect of arts that is so unique, powerful in helping to create a balance in a world of chaos, through written or spoken words; helping to create humor in the society, teaching morals, educational and cultural lessons.

It is about building a better you, country through good information, education and analyzing prospects for better ethical standards.

Basically, it deals with the morals (good behaviors) and amoral (bad behaviors) acts of a giving society and help in curbing amoral acts, bringing it to light for all to learn something out of.

C. Poetry Requirements.
Many hobbies or sports require special equipments but with poetry the arrangements needed are not special in any form because it is not a dangerous hobby. All that you need is a pencil, pen and a piece of paper.

When a car breaks down a mechanic comes around to repair it. Usually he has a bag of tools with him. Nearly everybody needs tools to do their job. A painter can't paint without a paintbrush, paint and other tools for his trade.

A poet needs tools also: A pen or pencil, something to write on, perhaps a word processor (computer), but most important of all - words. The more words you know, the better equipped you are to write poems.

You don't have to have a big vocabulary to write poems. Sometimes the simplest words can produce beautiful poems. But poetry is all about finding the exact word that you need.

How do you improve your word power? The best way is to read. Read lots of books or have a catholic taste for books - and whenever you come across an unfamiliar word, find out what it means. It could be just the word you'll need in your next poem.

Most people (adults as well as children) tend to read the same sort of books all the time. You find a type of story you like, or a favorite author, and you read it. But poets try different sorts of stories. Read newspapers and magazines. Try reading novels and motivational books. Once in a while try an "adult" book. And if you are going to be a poet, read lots of poetry. You probably have some favorite poets, but read other poets too. Keep on reading to improve your word power!

You should understand that a pen and a paper are the only things you need, but in serious writings there are other tools that are valuable to your trade, which you must have, and they are listed hereunder.

1. Notebook
This is the most important tool of the trade. A small notebook/notepad, better still one that can fit into your pocket, that you can take along with you everywhere or wherever you go. You can't tell when ideas will occur to you, and if you don't write them down, you stand the chance of forgetting them.

Having or carrying a notebook with you all the time will help you in writing or jotting down your ideas immediately when they occur to you so that none will be forgotten.
 ·                    Usefulness of a notebook or Journal
Some poets consider using a Journal, which is like a book having blank pages that you, can write anything into. It is like a diary only that it does not have pages for each day of the year, but you can organize or arrange it in anyway you like it to be. But here, understand that a notebook is more appropriate for the job because of the advantage of being able to carry it about in your pocket.

Now, if you are ready to be a poet: then go get a notebook or journal or a pocketbook and start jotting or putting down your ideas, this does not mean writing an entire poem. It can be as simple as noticing a word, a rhyme, whatever word that can be of use or of interest to you.

You don't need to worry yourself on neatness, spellings or punctuations, just write as you wish, don't worry about the write-up. What matters is being able to capture ideas as they come to you by keeping them in your journal or notebook.

Thanks for reading. Wishing you all the best out there:

SOMETHING ABOUT MY BOOKS

Hello friends,

Just a quick post here today about what has been keeping busy of late.

I guess I just have to give you a short preview of my latest work, my books, has they have been keeping me out of my weekly writings on this blog for some time now. I know you are all anticipating when you can lay your hands on them in the book stores soon.

Well, I am giving you the privilege of reading a little of 2 of the books before they are out in October 2010 to get at all the leading book shops nation wide in Nigeria.

The book titles are:
1. 101 Ways to Succeed With your Dreams & Talents (Motivational)
2. The Power of Determination (Christian Motivational)
3. Friendship & Courtship (Relationship Motivational)
4. Poetry For You (Teaching Poetry Writers how to write)

Well, a preview of the first book is given, and the second as well bellow:

101 Ways to Succeed With your Dreams & Talents (Motivational)
Chapter One

WHO ARE YOU?
 1. Realize your potential
In order to succeed at anything, you need to see that you have the potential to reach your goals. For example, if you want to be a recording artist but have no singing ability, having success in this field is not likely. However, if you love working on computers and have a real talent for fixing software and doing computer repairs, and to you success means working for Microsoft Company, you have the potential to learn and achieve that success.

2. Don’t Look Back
Everyone has failures or mistakes from the past. To have success, you need to learn from your past and value those difficult lessons but do not dwell on your past. Simply move forward and make better, more educated decisions from the lessons learned.

3. Dare to Dream
To succeed, you need to have dreams and aspirations. Be honest with yourself, know what you want out of life and what you want to give of your life. Allow your mind to dream big and think big.

4. Business Plan
Create a business plan, your very first step if you are planning to build a business. Whether you will be searching for investors or not, this plan will be the blueprint to your success. The business plan will consist of market trends, financial planning, competitive analysis, exit strategies, marketing and promotional options, everything about your goal. When going before an investor, you’ll be required to have a business plan. This is by far the most important document of all. If your success were something personal, you would not need to create a business plan although a project plan would be a good option to allow you to keep track of everything involving your goal.

5. Don’t Give Up
To reach success, you have to persevere. Even Thomas Edison had to learn this. When he was creating the incandescent light bulb, it took him more than 10, 000 times to get it right. Keep striving even when it becomes challenging...

The Power of Determination (Christian Motivational)
Chapter One

GET DETERMINATION

WHY DETERMINATION?

Every time you find work to do, do it the best you can. In the grave there is no work. There is no thinking, no knowledge and there is no wisdom…. Eccl.9 vs.10

Determination is the process of making a choice toward achieving something in life, and taking the right steps towards it, even when all things stand against making it. It is the ability to be focused on one thing without turning back until its fulfillment; the power of following your God given vision and purpose in life till its end.

To be determined, or to have determination in the real sense of the word, is to know what you want to do, or be in life, daring the odds, setting your priorities straight, following them and doing what it takes until you get the end result.

Determination cannot be overlooked in life, no matter the task, because it is the power to change ordinances, lives, and the future; anything needing change in this world and beyond.

BEING DETERMINED

But Daniel purposed in his heart that he will not defile himself with the portion of the king’s meat, or with the wine which he drank: therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself. (Daniel: 1 vs.8.

From the above scripture, we read of Daniel, how he was so determined to be different in all things in another mans land through a purposeful heart and what became of him at the end.

We can also read the story of his three friends, (Shedrach, Mechach and Abednego), how they settled everything in their heart; what to do no matter the outcome of all things surrounding them, and the glory that followed after. (Daniel 3 vs. 16 — 28)

DICTIONARY DEFINITION

Determination is taken from the root word ‘deter’ which is to ‘keep from an act by fear, self, punishment, etc’. And from ‘deter’ we come to ‘determine’ which means ‘to be the cause of control of something or ones mind, ambition, or future, etc’.

From determine we have ‘determined’, meaning ‘having an intention firmly fixed in ones mind to be done immediately or later in the future’.
After all these we come to our pot of call which is; ‘Determination’:

Determination is the ability to continue trying what you have decided to do or become, focusing on one thing, even when it seems difficult. It is having a strong mind to do something and allowing no one or anything put a stop to it. It is also the art of doing what is set or settled in the mind or heart of an individual to be done; to do something no matter the odds against it, with immediate effect; not looking or minding roadblocks or working in procrastination.

Biblical definition!
This is the ability to make up ones mind to do the unbelievable through faith, trust in God and His word, based on known and believable or unbelievable facts seen or unseen. It is the acceptance of the word of God as the final authority, in things believed; and walking in it even though it is unacceptable, unbelievable to others because it is Gods authoritative word....

Learn something from this:                            Just a Poem

Balance that life
The job will call man to work
And obligation will rant and vent
But time lost is time gone
Yet there’s another time to invent

Balancing the time is truly tightening
But to rest, to play and worship calls
Life was made for a balance in learning
Though many try in failures cage

Man must rest and play to refresh
And give time for worship and work
But few understand this balance
And many in life have waylaid luck

God in six days work and worship
But the seventh he rested to fellowship
Generations are plagued with work ethics
And the children days forgotten to click

GETTING YOUR LIFE BACK AFTER ALL

Hello there my friend,

Today is another day for a little understanding to one of the issue life brings  our way, the burden of letting go of life, a friend, or just being sick of situations that damping our spirits.

I believe you'll love reading and learning from this as much as I like to blog about it.

We all do know that sometimes life has the habit of kicking us in the teeth, perhaps through no fault of our own. Things get tough and we have periods of sorrow and hurt, this could be the death of a loved one, a breakup of relationships or sickness.

We have two options to dealing with what life throws at us and these are to give up and go into depression or to accept whatever happens in life and then move on with our lives, if we make the right choice then we grieve of course, then pick ourselves up and move on with our life.

Bereavement
Bereavement comes to us all eventually in life, sometimes it comes cruelly and strikes the young while others are taken expectedly when they have lived out their years, whenever bereavement chooses to strike it is just as heartbreaking for those left behind. Grieving will of course vary from person to person and there isn’t any set limit on the amount of time which we should or shouldn’t grieve, there are also many stages to grieving starting with shock, numbness, fear and unsettlement being just a few of the many feelings which can flow through a person during this time. Grieving however is a normal occurrence and an important one if we are to get over this time and eventually move on with or life, it is human natures way of letting go and you shouldn’t
try to hide any feelings or thoughts during this time. Having someone you can turn to such as a family member or friend can help greatly during your greatest time of need and if you are lucky enough to have someone like this then it is essential that you take them up on their offer of being there for you.
IllnessCoping with a severe or life threatening illness can be devastating; it can bring a whole range of emotional problems along with physical disabilities. Finding that we have or someone we love very much has a life threatening or severe illness is devastating and brings feelings of fear, uncertainty and even denial before true acceptance. Denial to a degree is not necessarily a bad thing, if denial is used in a positive way, it can help to overcome problems to some degree and enable you to get back to living your life. However total denial and  not accepting at all is something entirely different and if this is the case then you might need to seek help.
Break up of relationshipsThe break up of any relationship can be traumatic particularly if you have been together for many years and/or there are children involved in the relationship. Again fear plays a big part, fear of what the future will bring, how you will cope, feelings of betrayal and desertion all play an important role.

Time usually plays a crucial factor in healing after a breakup and grieving to an extent over what is essentially a loss helps to get your thoughts and feelings out and enables you to move on with your life and take the next step forward into a new chapter.

TIME
The first time is never easy
It was meant for your going up
Aspiring high the second time
Shows you’ve learnt a lesson
For the tough gets tougher
And life is more joyful with
Its ups and down

Get acquainted with your problems
The facts of life are easily diluted
If only you’ll accept them as they come
Facing them and winning

The first has come and gone
Now the second is here
Do it better and be tough
Salau O John©2010

LET GO
Like a cage
You lock up your heart
So afraid
You never want to fall apart
You’ve got to let go
You’ve got to let go

So many times
Will you be fine?
It stays in your heart
The fear of the past love
You’ve had
You’ve got to let go
You’ve got to let go

Steps To Your Procrastination

Hello friend,

Really never had it in mind to post these steps today but due to some questions and discussions from/with a friend on the subject I thought it fit to write on the issue bothering solving this problem as many really do face it without knowing or understanding how to get out.

Procrastination is a burden many do not really know they are into because it often starts unconsciously before it becomes a part of a person.

So are you a victim of laziness, a root cause of procrastination? Do you often suffer because of what you initially considered as easy has turned difficult with the loss of time, and what appeared hard, due to further delay, has
become impossible now? You may draw comfort from the fact that you are in the company of many that are affected by procrastination. But you must realize that you will experience true comfort, if you get rid of your laziness by shaking yourself up into action. Like many others, you can indeed stop procrastinating and start meeting deadlines, by following a few simple steps that teach you effective time management.

1. Plan your daily must-do activities. Draw up a to-do list; preferably, write it down on paper; or, use a computer if you prefer.

2. Prioritize the activities, the more important ones taking precedence over the less important. If there are urgent things to do, but not important enough to be worried about if not done, put them below the important ones. The idea is based on the established principle that 80% of rewards accrue from 20% of effort directed towards accomplishing important work.

3. Estimate the time required for each of the listed activities after analyzing their complexity. Avoid underestimation, as you may not have enough time to do well a particular of piece of work. Similarly, avoid overestimation, for that may leave some activities without enough time. A realistic budgeting of time is a must. Time allocation is a skill that is acquired with experience. So keep reviewing and revising your time schedule as you progress.

4. Organize your life. That will help you avoid wasting your precious time and leave more time for the actual work. Remember indiscipline causes confusion, even chaos, in life. It eats into your time. Avoid sloppiness. For instance, leave your personal belongings of daily use, like your glasses, your clothing, your computer etc., in the same place. If you do, you won’t need to spend time looking for them all over the place. Apply the principle of doing work first and then taking time for pleasure and relaxation. Reverse the order only at the pain of falling prey to procrastination. You can get time for rest and relaxation if you are efficient in doing your assigned work.

5. Start working bit by bit. You may see a mountain at first, but mountains can be moved, especially if you begin by moving just a small stone from it. You know you cannot move the entire mountain all at once. Do not be overwhelmed by the immensity of the task before you. That will put you off.

And you will put off the task for another day, which will never come. Just begin by taking one small step and you will invariably reach your destination.

6. Put first things first early in the day. Remember procrastination grows into a habit by the minute. Begin your day by launching yourself head first into the most important job waiting to be done.

7. Learn to cope with anxiety, depression, stress and other similar conditions of the mind related to your problems in life. Keep yourself fit, not just physically but mentally as well. Learn and practice suitable mental relaxation techniques such as meditation.

When to pray
Not tomorrow, not tonight but now
Are you in daily distress, downcast?
God sees your sorrow no how
Are you fretting a future to feature?
The Lord, the word an answer no foul

Are you happiness your hopes gotten?
The prayer, your prayer must tongue
Is your friend, your family yearning stopping?
Your time, God’s time must song

The time to pray lies no turning time
For God a spirit you to His due
And prayer is rain to future dues line
So you must might your all to do

The enemy enlists your other line
With prayers you prow termination on
A book hooked of God to remember thine
The more, the store place them long
Salau O John©2010

Cool down
Like the storm in a raging sea
Your future has been tolled, toiled and tailed
You feel and fear parts that’s free
I call you to cool down!

Like a man in a jungle you stumble
And the darkness dolls you ailing
You feel there’s no way to bubble
I call you to cool down!

As in the battle of the Titans
Your friends, families you can’t see
You feel like you’re alone in the lighten
I call you to cool down!

Like Daniel in the lion’s den
All the earth frets against thee
Know thou God knows with a plan
I call you to cool down!

Control that addiction

Another day another time out here, just wanted to help you out in the issues concerned with our addiction and getting out of the ruts we get into sometimes with eyes open, other times just by trying things out and never being able to get out again.

I believe there's something here to learn.

First of all, have you even realized you need to break free from your addictions? If not, now is the time to make a conscious decision about regaining control over yourself by really trying to kick your harmful habit NOW.

You can’t wait forever for an opportune moment, because it will never come if you don’t want it. Once you decide to quit, make your decision public. Tell your family, your friends and everybody and anybody interested in your well being about it. By doing so, you are making it rather difficult to back out. You are perhaps also indirectly indicating to all of them that you are seeking their support for your decision. Actually, it is important to openly enlist their help and co-operation to help kick your bad habit.

Avoid getting into situations full of temptations. No matter how strong you are, the temptation will be overwhelming. When you are trying to give up sexual addiction, smoking, for instance, hanging out with your chain smoker friends will do you no good. Don’t accept invitations to party, when you know you will be subjected to peer or situational pressure to take the very things you are trying never to use. If you do, you will never come out of your compulsive weakness for a particular drug, drink or smoke or some habit you have decided to kick.

You may need professional help If you are a long-term slave to alcohol or drugs or tobacco or pornography or any of the several other equally harmful substances or things, you may need professional help in addition to the support from your family and friends. After an in-depth look at your case, specialists will chalk out a program for you to follow under their supervision over a specified period of time. Several support groups may join in. Following the rehabilitation program is key to getting yourself back on track. Ultimately, your own will is the only thing that can get rid of the addiction for good.

People under some stress or tension wrongly believe that they can calm themselves and feel relaxed if they use tobacco or alcohol or drugs. They first try to drown their sorrows in addictive substances and habits injurious to health, but end up drowned in their addictions. If only you realize the futility of seeking relief from your grief in addictions, you will never put yourself under the risk of damaging your health and losing your wealth as well as destroying whatever happiness you have had so far. There are better ways to confront and conquer your problems than giving in to addiction.

Outlets for addiction
Learn to relax and rebuild your physical and mental reserves by doing regular physical exercise, meditation or taking to hobbies by exploiting your creative interests. Instead of attempting to escape from reality through the door that addictions seem to open for you, learn to adopt a positive attitude and face the inevitable and overcome the consequences with courage.

YOU are in control
Remember there are few quick-fix solutions to life’s problems. Likewise, there are no easy ways to overcome your addictions. Only concerted efforts on your part will help you in the end. Take control of yourself by training your mind to face life’s tough challenges.

Heart troubles
The past calls us back in
Though atonement we’ve alight
We cry and fry the pains seen
And wish another way this light

Why wail a forgiving past
Though this punishment we must buy
A little line and time to last
For God, so bold, our ways sigh

It’s a matter of time to pine
For a lesson learned, a future gotten
Blame thou not God, your sign
You were forever let go but burdened

Your troubles for the time, your lessons
Only adjust in aligning order bent
For greatness, success, your troubles are blessings
But only God thou to hold none relent

HARD TO COMPREHEND
The issues of the human minds
The throes of life in thinking
The thoughts propelled by different kinds
How on earth can man comprehend?

The thoughts of business and relationships
The bugs of heartbreaks and poverty
The back-turned human burning lordship
Who can comprehend these burning tides?

As the journey goes on differently here
The pangs of different connotations bout
Faces differ, only the best must care
Life only in sphere does exist

Our thoughts probes us daily
What we know is half boiled
Only learning keeps us here daily
As understanding birth peaceful progress
